Shadi has over 20 years of experience working with children and families. She began her career at Beverly Glen Playgroup in 1994 as a teacher’s aide. During her tenure at Playgroup, Shadi has held almost every position the school has to offer, including teacher, parent and the director from 2004 to 2009.

During her years as a parent at Playgroup, Shadi took time away from teaching and began “Consulting With Shadi,” through which she guided families through the many challenges of parenthood. Upon Shadi’s return to teaching in 2013, she helped found the Parent & Me program through which she continues to help parents navigate their children’s early years.

In 2016, Shadi returned to her director role with an exclusive focus on education. Through this expanded role, she is able to use her education and vast experience as an educator and parent to guide Playgroup’s rich developmental curriculum while continuing to work directly with children and parents.

Shadi received her BA in Child Development from California State University, Northridge and is a certified children’s yoga instructor.
